Intermediate CORE – Fly Fishing

Expand on your fly-fishing skills at CYO! Our Intermediate Fly-Fishing program is for up to 10 pairs to develop their fly-fishing skills.

Key areas of emphasis will include equipment care, knot tying, casting and fishing strategies for Northern Colorado. The goal of this program is to grow responsible and independent young fly anglers capable of interacting with other members of the fly-fishing community. Graduates will also have a basic understanding of techniques needed to fish in a variety of settings (still water, rivers, urban corridors, etc.) and the equipment needed for success.

At the completion of the course, each student will receive the opportunity to go on a walk-wade guided trip in the Poudre River or Big Thompson River with a St. Peters Fly-Fishing guide. If you enjoy fly fishing and want to build upon your flying skills, this course is for you!

Classes will be May 13th, 14th and 15th from 5pm-8pm and end with a class on Saturday May 16th from 9am-2pm.

Cost: $300 for the pair
