Colorado Youth Outdoors’ CORE program is designed for youth and their adults to build and strengthen their relationship. Over the course of 12 weeks, for 2 hours each week, each pair participates in the activities for the season with all materials and equipment provided. Spring 2026 activities are: fly tying, small bore (firearm safety and handling), and fly fishing. You will choose one evening each week to participate with the flexibility to swap nights if needed for scheduling conflicts. Each activity comes with a low instructor to participant ratio allowing everyone to have ample learning opportunity. By the end of your dedicated time together, you and your partner will walk away with a new appreciation for one another, new skills, and opportunities to come back for other activities throughout the year.
If transportation is a barrier for participate, we are able to help with transportation assistance. We have access to translation assistance to help with those who need instruction in their home language.

Your financial gift sparks relationship building, one fishing pole at a time
Your donation directly funds new equipment. Fishing poles, bows and arrows, fly tying supplies . . . these are the tools we use to build hands on connection, life skills, and most importantly build relationships within families.
